HP Technology for Teaching Grant Initiative The HP Technology for Teaching Grant Initiative is designed to support innovative and effective uses of technology in the classroom setting. In 2008, HP will grant awards to K–12 public schools that are using a collaborative, team-based approach to implementing technology integration projects. The activities of the project must be focused on using technology to teach, rather than on teaching students to use technology.
I think that this is good because if more big companies get in to education than we can get more and better supplies in the technology area. Also if some teachers get more technological and advanced that could maybe help us maby in online predators problem
I read “make it work” The spiral notebook By: Tim Gunn
This article was about making it work. When students are assigned to a project or something and there struggling with it they just sort of “make things work”. When something gets hard people abandon it and just basically start over.
I agree with everything that this article has said, people when they do get assigned something and it does start to get hard they just so whatever works. When they could do a totally good job they give up because they start to struggle with it and sort of do half of the best that they could have done.
"Words? Words? Words.” http://www.thespiralnotebook.com/2007/07/words_words_words.html This story is about someone that thinks that JKR is going to make Harry Potter like hamlet. And that in the end everyone is going to die.
I don’t agree with this because I liked all of the books she wrote and they did not make everyone die. Some people do die but it help’s fuel the story. That is what I like most about her stories.
This week I read “What has Podcasting done for you” by Jim Multon. This article is about how a young man went to a small school and introduced podcasting to students, and how much they benefit being able to use it. Also in this article he kept saying how things start in small places.
I can relate to this because about a month ago I had to do my very first pod cast. I went over my lines over and over again until I was satisfied and then I just went for it. I ended up recording it twice because I didn’t like my first one, but I understand that if you practice and practice you will eventually sound perfect.
I read an artical on something called Catch 22 and it's about a person who was having a lot of emotional problems so he wrote a lot when this was going on and he was having trouble writing so he couldn't write because he was having trouble trying to vent his feelings and couldn't figure out what to write about. I think that it does matter what he wrote about just that he wrote about something so he could actually express him-self

The Indiana University are looking at why people post, view, share, comment on, or subscribe to a YouTube video. Areas of interest include motivation, engagement, instructional design, and learning or educational value in a YouTube video. They tell us that youtube.com is not very reliable just like how Wikipedia.org people can change the definition of things.
I think that youtube.com and face book should just be used for entertainment and not for educational purpose. Since anyone can change anything on the internet how can we be so sure that the internet is reliable at all?
WARNING! This post contains spoilers for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Do not read beyond this point if you do not wish to be spoiled.
Spiral Notebook
This post talks about the book Harry Potter Deathly Hallows and what the author thinks about the book. she says that she loved it, and she also talks about how much she loves the author JKR she says that to her the ending is perfect. then she talks about what good friends Ron and Hermonine are to Harry. First let me say that I think this is a great book to but the ending was not all that great it should have been better then Ginny and Harry getting married and having a child but overall I like the book just as much as this girl does.
DUNKIN' DONUTS WORKER BEATS UP THIEF WITH COFFEE MUG
FOX NEWS
The guy was going to run into an office and hide but instead he grabbed a coffee cup and wacked the guy in the head pretty hard. The thief came into the shop and ordered a pastry on Sunday night. The man jumped over the counter and started to take cash out of the register. Police said Hoffman grabbed the thief’s wrist wile hitting him with a mug. The mug was used to collect money. He only managed to get away with $90.00.
I think it is good that the guy grabbed his wrist and hit him with a mug because if he hid he would of gotten away with more then $90.00. if I was in that situation I probably would of hidden because I would have been to nervous to try and attack.

I read "Ihave the best job" in mthe fisch bowl by our teacher, Mrs. Moritz. I really liked reading this becuase it showed me the sometimes even adults can handle their distress anymore. It made me feel good to know that as students, we brighten someones day. We may not be perfect, we don't always listen as well we should, we somtimes text message in class, we dont always follow the drections and somtimes it really seams that teacher do not likme us. Some teachers are like that though. Theyre here to make a living. But then theres the kinds of teachers I like, them kind that are there to teach and be with kids. Thank you!
i read "arvada shooting victim turned life around" this story is very tragic but it is also very touching. the shooting was very sad, yes, but what i like about this story is that the people in the church come together to celebrate the death of phil and tiffany. its great to konw that the church members who lost these people understand that the people who died were really tight with god and had a great relationship with him and thats what i love about this story because im a christian as well so i totally agree.

i read and story about you tube and how you tube can be educational
I think that you tube can be educational because just like the show Mr.Fisch made called Shift Happens that is very educational about the world not everything on you tube is dumb and i go on you tube and i have seen educational things on there before.

They are holding a convention for teachers administarion, parents, or anyone who is interested in education. It will be February 23rd at Arapahoe High School. They might even have virtual participation.
I think that this is a great idea for students, parents, and staff. Also this helps out with future and for what learning will be like later on.
Wednesday, December 12, 2007 Students Take Cyber Field Trip To Pearl Harbor - KOTV
Because some students aren’t privileged enofe to travel to Perl harbor they must learn from books and what the teachers tell them entail now. About 8,000 students from 90 schools across Oklahoma logged into the video conference for a cyber field trip. Although there where 8,000 students only one schools students got to ask questions.
I read Jetpack with 10 mile range availible soon for $226,000. digg.com There is supposed to be a jetpack availible soon, too bad it's going to cost $226,000 because I would really want one.
What i read about was this guy named John Lennon who was murdered. He lived from 1940-1980. It said that his image, words, and impact continue today. He played in the Beetles.
I thought that this story was really weird because it did not really explain what it was talking about and it was really short.
My story is about three people found dead in Phoenix south of Indian School road. The bodies were found in the back of a suv parked in front of a apartment.
I think it is stupid how someone would leave the bodies in the open to be found. I also wonder why they would kill so many people.
